Well, I certainly took more time then 48 hours to complete it, unlike the last writing challenge for the contest on WritersWrule.com, but I think it's up to snuff.
The emotional attachment was a little further removed then the first Chronicle, being that I was told the story and did not directly experience it, but I think the emotions contained therein are still pretty strong.
I sent "Stephen" to my Beta testers and now I wait for a couple responses to see if it is cohesive to the other Chronicle, "Ishmael".
Then I move on to Chronicle Three. Which I have a few ideas for... but none that has totally taken my heart yet. Jessa's Chronicle of Stephen grabbed me pretty quickly when I heard her story.
Oh yes, these Chronicles are based on true stories. So they are really thick with emotion, at least I hope ;)
So I am waiting again... Time, it's a writer's best friend and worst foe.
